Mike is really Mr. Popularity. He forms an immediate attraction to Bella, but is more interested in her as a pretty girl than who she really is. Mike and Edward don’t get along because of this. At Bella’s suggestion, Mike asks out Jessica Stanley, but their relationship doesn’t survive the summer of 2005.
